The White House

William Katz - Tom Everett Scott
Special Aide to the current Secretary of State. Altruistic, young for Washington but certainly smart and knows the ins and outs of Washington, and believes that the United States Government actually works. He's a bit boyscout-ish.

Undersecretary Gregory Barnes - Michael Hogan
Undersecretary of Defense in the new presidential administration, Barnes has been a professional politico for decades who has worked for several big names but has always stayed out of the spotlight himself by choice. Barnes is an extremely talented administrator, but his Texan, no-nonsense attitude rubs people wrong on a regular basis. He has no time for people who make novice mistakes. His peers regard him as a principled man, but his time in Washington has tempered his principles with realism and the need to compromise.

Paulo Oliveira - Miguel Sandoval
Fifty-something and native to Brazil, Paulo Oliveira is the Brazilian Minister of Justice, currently visiting the White House to refine cooperative efforts to combat the drug cartels. He’s a controversial figure in Brazil for having placed principle before family – severing ties with much of his family after scandalous revelations of their involvement in the drug trade. Olivereia has been the target of two failed assassination attempts and longs to stand by his principles, but privately fears for his wife and aged father, always kept under heavy security at his home. He tends to be a political straight shooter and is very loyal to his country. He wants to insure that any US involvement in Brazilian affairs is both discreet and effective, the better to ensure the future safety of his family and countrymen. Oliveira is coolly affable, but quick to anger if pressed. He enjoys a good game of golf.

CTU

Director of Field Operations Ian Rawlings - Lance Henriksen
At the end of his career, has turned in a tour of duty to the agency and is ready to get out and enjoy retirement. Has a bum leg due to a recent on the job altercation and has acted as an analyst of late at CTU headquarters, but certainly has the skills and is a capable field agent.

Ian Westmore - Sean Maher
Young and ambitious, Agent Westmore graduated with a degree in criminal justice and found work with the Secret Service. His first several years there were spent pursuing counterfeiters, during which time he distinguished himself with his insightful interrogation techniques and ability to “read” suspects. Following that he moved to protective assignments for U.S. officials in Africa. He was only recently recruited for CTU – largely based on investigative and interrogation skills – and he feels he has a lot to prove. He’s single, somewhat icy in demeanor, and inclined to try to impress superiors before fellow agents. He speaks Arabic and Somali. Westmore is in line to replace Rawlings after he retires.

Amina Jumoki (CTU Logistics) - Lisa Bonet
A second generation Sangalan-American and Ivy League graduate, Amina is a fiery but exceptionally competent computer analist recently assigned to CTU from the FBI. She has been bouncing from unhealthy relationship to unhealthy relationship for most of her life, developing a reputation at the Los Angeles field office as a bit of a promiscuous individual, including rumors that she slept her way to her current position. These rumors have lead Amina to strive to prove herself to her peers and superiors with just a hint of resentment and anger. Amina makes friends easily and is quite charismatic, and is always the life of the party.

South America

David Egan - David Duchovny
Retired Lt. Commander in the US Navy and former SEAL Team operator. Egan now works private security for anybody that can afford him. Generally multinational corporations looking to keep things quiet while operating in gray areas. Considered a soldier's officer by his subordinates, Egan often had run-ins with his superiors for his unorthodox methods and disregard for procedure when it didn't serve his purposes. He left the military after 10 years in the SEAL Teams under the cloud of rumors that he had been smuggling government property to the soldiers in his unit in the mountains of Afghanistan without proper acquisition procedure. Ever since, he's become somewhat antisocial, and is been regarded as little more than a mercenary by his former superiors. Currently employed by RKN International in Sao Paulo, Egan is hired by the White House to run the illegal military operation in Brazil.

Staff Sergeant Robert "Ace" Gromer - William Mapother
The team's sniper agent and scout. Not necessary a nice guy, but certainly someone you want on your side, especially when he has his cherished M24 sniper rifle. Believes in the spirit of the Corps but is a little jaded as he also realizes that the government is on a downward spiral as of late.

Corporal Jeremiah Hodges - Jake Busey
Affable and everyone’s would-be best buddy, Corporal Hodges serves in the United States Marine Corps Force Recon. Hodges was born in North Carolina and took up surfing in the Outer Banks in his teens, before joining the Marines and serving extensively in the Persian Gulf. On mission teams, he is often responsible for providing heavy firepower and is especially adept with the M249 SAW. He’s responsible in the field, but quick to crack jokes and is generally popular with his teammates - even if he's a bit of a motormouth. In his downtime, he enjoys World of Warcraft, bad science fiction, and trying to scare up his next venereal disease from the local ladies. He’s been married once, is presently divorced, and pays child support for his ten year old daughter. He gets along with his ex about half the time. Nickname: “Bullfrog.”
