After reviewing the Balls footage, it was determined that only Dan Gregory, Sgt O'Neill, and O'Rourke took an active role in the insurrection. In fact, they refused to even provide ammo to the other civilians. They handed out unloaded weapons to the other civilians and threatened them with death if they didn't play along.
Donnie Martin, having been knocked out from the trip through the Stargate during the entire incident has been agreed upon by both sides to act as arbiter for the trial.
The Red Moss and the Blue Moss have been analyzed by the station computer and found to be sentient. The two mosses seem to be at war with one another. They do not seem to respond to or be aware of attempts at verbal communication. Leo Nakamura and Lucas Fitzroy are using their cryptography and biology skills in an attempt to figure out how to communicate with the mosses.
A makeshift infirmary, brig, and kitchen have taken shape. Crew quarters have been assigned and each individual has their own room.
The mining equipment has been pulled back off the immediate surface to prevent its immediate destruction from the moss. It has also been determined that mining enough energy to get home without killing the station and Ancients could take 2 years. The mining equipment was never intended for fast use.
The starmap and stargate glyphs have been worked out. The stargate that the group arrived through should be able to reach hundreds of other gates throughout this particular galaxy without significantly draining energy levels.

New SG-12 Sheet

I went with the numberless FLEX scale that was used in the Phantasm game since that seems to be the new standard. I made the "What I Have" subsection as large as the main subsection this time around since inventory is going to be more important than usual in this game. I also added an entire "Notes" subsection since it seems that the average FLEX record sheet ends up being half empty even by the end of the adventure. I figured we had room for the subsection.

To increase the "story telling" qualities of the game and of the players, I'll offer the players the chance to narrate certain scenes themselves when especially bad or especially good things come up on the dice. The GM is still the GM, but I figure our players can handle narrating a scene or two within reason.

All ammo and essential supplies will be accounted for. This is not a "heroes never run out of bullets" adventure.

Stargate SG-12: Prologue
Stargate Expeditionary Team 12 (SG-12), under the command of Colonel David Telford, was tasked with the defense of Icarus Base, an installation dedicated to the work of Dr Nicholas Rush in decoding the newly discovered ninth chevron. The Base Commander of Icarus Base was Colonel Everett Young.
Upon being attacked by an unknown force employing Goa'uld ships, the entire planet, including the base, was destroyed. Colonel Telford and a portion of his SG-12 team were piloting space-interceptors in defense of the installation when this occurred and escaped death. Another portion of Telford's SG-12 joined Young's base garrison forces and civilian staff in escaping through the Stargate to an unknown destination by dialing the mysterious ninth chevron. Among this hodgepodge group of individuals are the protagonists of our story.
Players may choose any sort of military, scientific, IOA bureaucrat/field agent, civilian staff, etc character that would logically be found inside of Icarus Base during the attack with the exception of military garrison personnel under the command of Colonel Young. Players may, however, choose to play military SG-12 team members formally under the command of Colonel Telford. It might be a good idea to have at least two military characters in the party.

Since I'm not going to run the rest, I figured I'd post my notes so you had some idea where the 24 game was going.
CTU Season 7
After the President gives a major speech about drug and human trafficking, and a black ops military team is sent to South America to deal with the kidnapping of a Presidential friend, an undercover CTU team gets wind of a kidnapping plot involving an executive of a major U.S. intelligence supplier.
Season 6.5 DVD
Here's what happened in the Season 6.5 DVD transitioning from Season 6 to our "episodes":
Harrison Bell, an investigative reporter with the L.A. Times, wrote an expose about CTU Los Angeles revealing their methods and their security problems, leading to a house-cleaning and a House investigation.
Jack Bauer disappeared before he could face federal charges, and almost all of rest of the staff were either transferred or fired.
The CTU allegations were blamed by some pundits as the reason that Noah Daniels lost the election to Evan Trotter.
Amina Jumoki and Ian Westmore met with a pair of drug and gun smugglers (Derrick Ballen and Haley Simms) that they have been working undercover to infiltrate. Ballen told them that the guy they had been wanting to meet, the guy who can hook them up with the guns they're looking for, is going to be in Los Angeles next week, and he'll introduce them.
An armed team stormed a house in Sao Paulo, Brazil and took a teenage girl, who was revealed to be the daughter of RKN International executive Marcielo Rocha, who responded to the kidnappers' first contact by calling his friend, Evan Trotter, the President of the United States, and his friend Paulo Oliveira, asking him to go to Washington.
Oliveira and some of the President's staff put together a plan to send a black ops team in to rescue Rocha's daughter, and they hired RKN security consultant David Egan to head up the team. He met the team at a private airport and took them to their temporary base of operations in the jungle.
First Session (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Los Angeles - 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Brazil - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Washington D.C.)
The following takes place between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM - Events occur in real-time
CTU - Protestors, led by Ian Rawlings' sister Deena, are surrounding CTU L.A. in protest, demanding it be shut down. Rawlings will talk to his sister, before heading out to do field support for the undercover team of Amina and Ian. The protestors will block the CTU team when they need to get back into the building before a chase team catches up to them. CTU team meets with Gerard Vasquez and begin tailing him, eventually finding his base of operations, loaded with guns, drugs and very scared Brazilian nationals.They also find evidence of a massive kidnapping plan that was scheduled to take place hours ago. Analysis reveals that it targeted the families of a dozen RKN executives, and that an FBI agent, along with a kidnap specialist hired by RKN, is already working on it. The CTU team works with the FBI team to interrogate Vasquez, but just as they're making progress, they're called out because a call has come in from Colin Freeman on a smuggled cell phone, and they need to try and track him. When they go back to check, Vasquez is dead, apparently having cut his wrists using a pen left on the table by Terry Governe. Except that the cameras had a technical glitch during the five minutes it took, which makes Governe look like a mole. (In fact, Archer went to Sierra Tandy and got her to turn off the cameras from Governe's station by telling her that RKN would greatly appreciate it, and now Tandy is terrified to say anything.)
White House - Katz, Barnes and Oliveira monitor the satellite/communications link to the black ops team, along with Chloe O'Brien. Erin Wagner comes to talk to them about Harrison Bell, who is sniffing around and seems to know something about the operation in Brazil. While they're watching the assault, the satellite and communications link goes dead, and O'Brien discovers that there's some kind of major noise on all the Homeland Security networks. Further investigation reveals that the networks are reporting heightened alerts and chatter about a nationwide assault on a variety of targets. As this information is revealed, the First Lady needs to speak with the three gentleman, as she has been talking with Bell, and she wants to know what's going on with the three of them. When the assaults don't come to pass, O'Brien discovers that there is a virus that has infiltrated the deepest levels of Homeland Security. They can shut down the networks, but it's going to result in a communications blackout for Homeland Security agencies... if they don't, they'll be receiving bad information as a result of the virus. They have to take this to Lamont, where they discover him talking to Sheila McKay, a lobbyist from RKN concerned about the kidnappings in Los Angeles. Bell threatens to go live with what he has unless he is able to talk to someone about what's going on with the Homeland Security systems and military operation in Brazil off the record.
Military - The military team hits the kidnappers' hideout, but their communications link goes out midway through. They recover the principal, but Rodrigo flees into the jungle. When they follow him, they run afoul of an anti-government militia that has captured him. Rodrigo offers information about a major kidnapping ring operating in the area in exchange for his freedom, but the team can't get through to the White House to get approval. Egan knows that this ring has ties to RKN, and will need to do something to stop Rodrigo from talking. If they go to RKN, they'll meet with Jacob Reynolds, who promises to take care of Rodrigo using back channels into the Brazilian government. If they call RKN, Reynolds will call the kidnappers and give them a private military team to kill them. If they get the intel from Rodrigo or the military team, he points them to a car repair shop that serves as a front for Mexican kidnappers. They'll see someone casing the place, and find that it's Jack Bauer. If that doesn't happen, Jack will track them from RKN, wanting to know how they're involved in the kidnapping ring, since he saw them bring Rodrigo in.
Second Session (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Things to remember - Deena Katz is in CTU, looking for abuses, when an interrogated prisoner "commits suicide"
Tandy secretly operating on orders from Mosely? Mosely actually Sangalan sleeper agent?
White House - An attempt is made on the investigative reporter's life, and he calls one of the white house folks he trusts to tell them they have a leak
Search for the White House leak, probably finding Lamont
Oliveira gets a call from his wife, who has been kidnapped in Sao Paolo and he is told to get the White House to get the military team to back off, and the First Lady gets into a feud with Lamont
President Trotter has a stroke. The VP takes over and decides to extract the black ops team, mission accomplished or not.
First Lady comes to one of the characters to try and oust Lamont, will bargain for black ops team
CTU - An ex-boyfriend of Amina shows up to complicate things (Sangalan?), as the team tracks the cell phone to the kidnapper's former hideout
Investigation leads the team to the new hideout for the kidnappers
Team captures the kidnappers lead by Nestor Carbonell
Interrogation time for the kidnapper, Jace's character plants a bomb in CTU to blow it up so they can't share information

Third Session (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
White House - The virus reveals a secondary target, threatening to take down not only secure networks but infrastructure like power grids, phone lines, air traffic control and other systems.
CTU - Stop the exchange between Benito Martinez's group, which intends to send the American children down to Mexico in exchange for the Brazilian labor. Stop the Sangalan virus from reaching the lab where it can be extracted
Military - Track the Sangalan extremist group and find out what they did with the slave labor
Question: What is the evil corporation, what do they do, and what is their agenda?
The corporation is RKN. They have subsidiaries that build facilities for various military and civilian government projects around the world, build and develop weapons systems and engage in private security and military operations. They have just won a big no-bid contract thanks to hooks in the defense department, and they're going to use that to build military and civilian facilities in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Dallas and New Mexico. They keep their costs down by using what amounts to slave labor from Mexico, which are in turn brought in from South America by professional Mexican kidnappers. Their agenda is to keep their contracts secure and under wraps from the press, as well as to keep the truth of their source of labor from those in law enforcement. To that end, they have secured a mole in the White House and tipped off a reporter about the illegal operation an RKN executive has requested on behalf of his daughter. They also have in place a virus that will disrupt the Homeland Security communications and computer network. Their hope is that this will stem the flow of information, and even moreso, result in the press being more interested in what the White House is hiding than what RKN might be rumored to be into. What they don't know is that the Preston Archer, the security expert who provided them with the virus, gave it a secondary target that would cripple the U.S. infrastructure.
Question: Who are the Los Angeles kidnappers, what is their agenda?
Longtime kidnappers who were employed by RKN, but a kill order was put out on them when they botched the kidnapping, killing the two kids involved. The kidnapping had been intended to blackmail an RKN executive who found out too much, but instead RKN was forced to have him killed, losing his expertise and raising potential red flags for investigators. They intend to punish RKN by kidnapping the children of several prominent executives of the company and demanding a huge ransom, but then selling the children to contacts in Mexico, using them to trade for kidnap victims from Brazil, who are in fact carrying a virus from Sangalan terrorists. The terrorists are actually the ones funding the operation, and the children are an additional twist that the leader of the Los Angeles cell introduced.
Question: Who are the South American kidnappers, what is their agenda?
A professional kidnapper who had worked with the RKN ring grabbed a target to make some money, the son of a local politician. Unfortunately, that local politician went to college with the President, and called in a favor, resulting in a U.S. black ops team being sent down to retrieve the target instead of the professional negotiators that the kidnapper was expecting. If it comes to it, he'll trade the information on his friends' location for his life and his freedom. The rest of the RKN ring is still operating in South America, although they were robbed of their latest package by a Sangalan extremist group to smuggle a virus in with the next round of slave labor, which was sent out and should arrive in America early in the morning.
The White House
Sheila McKay - Catherine Dent
A corporate lawyer from D.C. who has worked with a number of companies, McKay has been employed by RKN's legal department for some time, doing a lot of lobbying for contracts and favors on the Hill. She has a friendly demeanor, but anyone with any kind of political savvy realizes that it's a mask, and that she is always calculating the potential threat or help that someone could be to her. She knows that her job comes with some dubious ethics and is fine with that, because she makes enough money to deal with the tiny pangs her miniscule conscience can manage from time to time.
CTU
Gerard Vasquez, Kidnapper Lieutenant - Michael Pena
A slick, sleazy operator who loves being in the United States, Gerard Vasquez is a third-rate Mexican criminal with first-rate connections. He's sloppy in actually executing his smuggling and kidnapping operations, but he's careful in terms of who he talks to. So he doesn't accomplish as much as he could if he were more cautious in actually doing things, but he's also difficult to catch or build a case against. He's a chauvinist pig who has some rape in his past, and he's got a personal coke habit that helps fuel his interest in the drug game.
Armando Reyes - Nestor Carbonell
Armando was the partner of Gerard Vasquez, and he's much more careful, and a lot more quiet. He also likes the ladies, but he's more of a seducer than a rapist, and he's as careful about who he talks to as Vasquez is. However, his personal interest is in guns and gun smuggling, as he sees that as a profitable business that the U.S. government is much less interested in than drug-running. He is also extremely ruthless, and will kill at the drop of the hat, not out of anger but out of what he perceives as a need. He's often much to quick to move to murder rather than blackmail or intimidation or other less permanent methods of dealing with a problem. It's not a bad temper, more of a sort of cruel laziness and little belief in the value of human life.
Wilson Gamache - Benito Martinez
Gamache was the organizer of the kidnapping cell, with Reyes and Vasquez as his chief lieutenants. He's a businessman at heart, believing in the simple exchange of money for services, in this case the service of not cutting up loved ones and dumping them in an alley. Gamache was always upwardly mobile, and he had hoped that his kidnapping business would lead him to an executive position at RKN and real power, but Reyes cost him that when he killed the principal after a nearly-successful escape attempt. Gamache still holds a bit of a grudge against Reyes for that, but he holds an even bigger grudge against RKN, because he now knows they never considered him much more than a hired thug. He's decided that if that's what he's going to be, he's going to earn a lot more money, and has started branching out to offer his services to terrorists who could use a well-tuned smuggling operation. The Sangalans are merely his first clients.
Special Agent Kristin Hall - Sarah Polley
Agent Hall is a young, attractive agent whose fieldwork has been barely above adequate, but who has shown a propensity for liasing effectively with other agencies. Her willingness to let others take the lead has made her a perfect match for operations where the government wants someone else to be on the hook for any difficulties, and she has often been teamed with private citizens on cases involving kidnapping, espionage and organized crime. She knows she isn't as effective as she should be, and that makes her somewhat defensive and prone to trying to prove that she's "in charge," which often results in her making bad decisions. She's probably only one or two mistakes away from being fired.
Preston Archer - Michael Jace
Preston is a Harvard-educated lawyer who quit his private California law firm after losing his wife and child to a botched kidnapping, after he had successfully negotiated their release. A Brazilian native who attended college at Harvard, Rocha returned to his native country as part of the massive multicorporation RKN, operating as a senior executive involved in building military bases and technology for RKN's private military operations in the region. He is a workaholic with a strained relationship with his family, although he does love them dearly. He went to school with President Evan Trotter and other movers and shakers in international politics, and is unafraid to call in those favors.
Rodrigo Dominguez- Dan Hedaya
A Mexican criminal and professional kidnapper who fled Mexico for Brazil after a jail term, Rodrigo is ruthless and very skilled when it comes to his profession. He always aims to get money and get away clean, and if he has to give up the former to get the latter, he'll do so in an instant, killing the victim and disposing of the body and moving on without a second thought. He's a careful planner, and he always has at least two exits planned from wherever he is. In fact, this stems from a very real fear of jail, earned when he was a teenager in Mexican prisons for larceny and assault. He suffered greatly at the hands of his older cellmates, and never wants to go back.
Captain Brian Lenge - Clancy Brown
Former U.S. Army Ranger who got tired of being shot at, and seeing his friends die, in pointless political exercises for too little pay. When RKN came recruiting, he signed up at once, and quickly rose through the ranks. He's not popular with his troops, but he's a very good tactician and an excellent field officer, and they know that listening to him is more likely to get them home alive with money in their pockets.

After the President gives a major speech about drug and human trafficking, and a black ops military team is sent to South America to deal with the kidnapping of a Presidential friend, an undercover CTU team gets wind of a kidnapping plot involving an executive of a major U.S. intelligence supplier.
Season 6.5 DVD
Here's what happened in the Season 6.5 DVD transitioning from Season 6 to our "episodes":
Harrison Bell, an investigative reporter with the L.A. Times, wrote an expose about CTU Los Angeles revealing their methods and their security problems, leading to a house-cleaning and a House investigation.
Jack Bauer disappeared before he could face federal charges, and almost all of rest of the staff were either transferred or fired.
The CTU allegations were blamed by some pundits as the reason that Noah Daniels lost the election to Evan Trotter.
Amina Jumoki and Ian Westmore met with a pair of drug and gun smugglers (Derrick Ballen and Haley Simms) that they have been working undercover to infiltrate. Ballen told them that the guy they had been wanting to meet, the guy who can hook them up with the guns they're looking for, is going to be in Los Angeles next week, and he'll introduce them.
An armed team stormed a house in Sao Paulo, Brazil and took a teenage girl, who was revealed to be the daughter of RKN International executive Marcielo Rocha, who responded to the kidnappers' first contact by calling his friend, Evan Trotter, the President of the United States, and his friend Paulo Oliveira, asking him to go to Washington.
Oliveira and some of the President's staff put together a plan to send a black ops team in to rescue Rocha's daughter, and they hired RKN security consultant David Egan to head up the team. He met the team at a private airport and took them to their temporary base of operations in the jungle.
First Session (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Los Angeles - 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Brazil - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Washington D.C.)
The following takes place between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM - Events occur in real-time
CTU - Protestors, led by Ian Rawlings' sister Deena, are surrounding CTU L.A. in protest, demanding it be shut down. Rawlings will talk to his sister, before heading out to do field support for the undercover team of Amina and Ian. The protestors will block the CTU team when they need to get back into the building before a chase team catches up to them. CTU team meets with Gerard Vasquez and begin tailing him, eventually finding his base of operations, loaded with guns, drugs and very scared Brazilian nationals.They also find evidence of a massive kidnapping plan that was scheduled to take place hours ago. Analysis reveals that it targeted the families of a dozen RKN executives, and that an FBI agent, along with a kidnap specialist hired by RKN, is already working on it. The CTU team works with the FBI team to interrogate Vasquez, but just as they're making progress, they're called out because a call has come in from Colin Freeman on a smuggled cell phone, and they need to try and track him. When they go back to check, Vasquez is dead, apparently having cut his wrists using a pen left on the table by Terry Governe. Except that the cameras had a technical glitch during the five minutes it took, which makes Governe look like a mole. (In fact, Archer went to Sierra Tandy and got her to turn off the cameras from Governe's station by telling her that RKN would greatly appreciate it, and now Tandy is terrified to say anything.)
White House - Katz, Barnes and Oliveira monitor the satellite/communications link to the black ops team, along with Chloe O'Brien. Erin Wagner comes to talk to them about Harrison Bell, who is sniffing around and seems to know something about the operation in Brazil. While they're watching the assault, the satellite and communications link goes dead, and O'Brien discovers that there's some kind of major noise on all the Homeland Security networks. Further investigation reveals that the networks are reporting heightened alerts and chatter about a nationwide assault on a variety of targets. As this information is revealed, the First Lady needs to speak with the three gentleman, as she has been talking with Bell, and she wants to know what's going on with the three of them. When the assaults don't come to pass, O'Brien discovers that there is a virus that has infiltrated the deepest levels of Homeland Security. They can shut down the networks, but it's going to result in a communications blackout for Homeland Security agencies... if they don't, they'll be receiving bad information as a result of the virus. They have to take this to Lamont, where they discover him talking to Sheila McKay, a lobbyist from RKN concerned about the kidnappings in Los Angeles. Bell threatens to go live with what he has unless he is able to talk to someone about what's going on with the Homeland Security systems and military operation in Brazil off the record.
Military - The military team hits the kidnappers' hideout, but their communications link goes out midway through. They recover the principal, but Rodrigo flees into the jungle. When they follow him, they run afoul of an anti-government militia that has captured him. Rodrigo offers information about a major kidnapping ring operating in the area in exchange for his freedom, but the team can't get through to the White House to get approval. Egan knows that this ring has ties to RKN, and will need to do something to stop Rodrigo from talking. If they go to RKN, they'll meet with Jacob Reynolds, who promises to take care of Rodrigo using back channels into the Brazilian government. If they call RKN, Reynolds will call the kidnappers and give them a private military team to kill them. If they get the intel from Rodrigo or the military team, he points them to a car repair shop that serves as a front for Mexican kidnappers. They'll see someone casing the place, and find that it's Jack Bauer. If that doesn't happen, Jack will track them from RKN, wanting to know how they're involved in the kidnapping ring, since he saw them bring Rodrigo in.
Second Session (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)

White House - The virus reveals a secondary target, threatening to take down not only secure networks but infrastructure like power grids, phone lines, air traffic control and other systems.
CTU - Stop the exchange between Benito Martinez's group, which intends to send the American children down to Mexico in exchange for the Brazilian labor. Stop the Sangalan virus from reaching the lab where it can be extracted
Military - Track the Sangalan extremist group and find out what they did with the slave labor
Question: What is the evil corporation, what do they do, and what is their agenda?
The corporation is RKN. They have subsidiaries that build facilities for various military and civilian government projects around the world, build and develop weapons systems and engage in private security and military operations. They have just won a big no-bid contract thanks to hooks in the defense department, and they're going to use that to build military and civilian facilities in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Dallas and New Mexico. They keep their costs down by using what amounts to slave labor from Mexico, which are in turn brought in from South America by professional Mexican kidnappers. Their agenda is to keep their contracts secure and under wraps from the press, as well as to keep the truth of their source of labor from those in law enforcement. To that end, they have secured a mole in the White House and tipped off a reporter about the illegal operation an RKN executive has requested on behalf of his daughter. They also have in place a virus that will disrupt the Homeland Security communications and computer network. Their hope is that this will stem the flow of information, and even moreso, result in the press being more interested in what the White House is hiding than what RKN might be rumored to be into. What they don't know is that the Preston Archer, the security expert who provided them with the virus, gave it a secondary target that would cripple the U.S. infrastructure.
Question: Who are the Los Angeles kidnappers, what is their agenda?
Longtime kidnappers who were employed by RKN, but a kill order was put out on them when they botched the kidnapping, killing the two kids involved. The kidnapping had been intended to blackmail an RKN executive who found out too much, but instead RKN was forced to have him killed, losing his expertise and raising potential red flags for investigators. They intend to punish RKN by kidnapping the children of several prominent executives of the company and demanding a huge ransom, but then selling the children to contacts in Mexico, using them to trade for kidnap victims from Brazil, who are in fact carrying a virus from Sangalan terrorists. The terrorists are actually the ones funding the operation, and the children are an additional twist that the leader of the Los Angeles cell introduced.
Question: Who are the South American kidnappers, what is their agenda?
A professional kidnapper who had worked with the RKN ring grabbed a target to make some money, the son of a local politician. Unfortunately, that local politician went to college with the President, and called in a favor, resulting in a U.S. black ops team being sent down to retrieve the target instead of the professional negotiators that the kidnapper was expecting. If it comes to it, he'll trade the information on his friends' location for his life and his freedom. The rest of the RKN ring is still operating in South America, although they were robbed of their latest package by a Sangalan extremist group to smuggle a virus in with the next round of slave labor, which was sent out and should arrive in America early in the morning.

Sheila McKay - Catherine Dent
A corporate lawyer from D.C. who has worked with a number of companies, McKay has been employed by RKN's legal department for some time, doing a lot of lobbying for contracts and favors on the Hill. She has a friendly demeanor, but anyone with any kind of political savvy realizes that it's a mask, and that she is always calculating the potential threat or help that someone could be to her. She knows that her job comes with some dubious ethics and is fine with that, because she makes enough money to deal with the tiny pangs her miniscule conscience can manage from time to time.

Gerard Vasquez, Kidnapper Lieutenant - Michael Pena
A slick, sleazy operator who loves being in the United States, Gerard Vasquez is a third-rate Mexican criminal with first-rate connections. He's sloppy in actually executing his smuggling and kidnapping operations, but he's careful in terms of who he talks to. So he doesn't accomplish as much as he could if he were more cautious in actually doing things, but he's also difficult to catch or build a case against. He's a chauvinist pig who has some rape in his past, and he's got a personal coke habit that helps fuel his interest in the drug game.
Armando Reyes - Nestor Carbonell
Armando was the partner of Gerard Vasquez, and he's much more careful, and a lot more quiet. He also likes the ladies, but he's more of a seducer than a rapist, and he's as careful about who he talks to as Vasquez is. However, his personal interest is in guns and gun smuggling, as he sees that as a profitable business that the U.S. government is much less interested in than drug-running. He is also extremely ruthless, and will kill at the drop of the hat, not out of anger but out of what he perceives as a need. He's often much to quick to move to murder rather than blackmail or intimidation or other less permanent methods of dealing with a problem. It's not a bad temper, more of a sort of cruel laziness and little belief in the value of human life.
Wilson Gamache - Benito Martinez
Gamache was the organizer of the kidnapping cell, with Reyes and Vasquez as his chief lieutenants. He's a businessman at heart, believing in the simple exchange of money for services, in this case the service of not cutting up loved ones and dumping them in an alley. Gamache was always upwardly mobile, and he had hoped that his kidnapping business would lead him to an executive position at RKN and real power, but Reyes cost him that when he killed the principal after a nearly-successful escape attempt. Gamache still holds a bit of a grudge against Reyes for that, but he holds an even bigger grudge against RKN, because he now knows they never considered him much more than a hired thug. He's decided that if that's what he's going to be, he's going to earn a lot more money, and has started branching out to offer his services to terrorists who could use a well-tuned smuggling operation. The Sangalans are merely his first clients.
Special Agent Kristin Hall - Sarah Polley
Agent Hall is a young, attractive agent whose fieldwork has been barely above adequate, but who has shown a propensity for liasing effectively with other agencies. Her willingness to let others take the lead has made her a perfect match for operations where the government wants someone else to be on the hook for any difficulties, and she has often been teamed with private citizens on cases involving kidnapping, espionage and organized crime. She knows she isn't as effective as she should be, and that makes her somewhat defensive and prone to trying to prove that she's "in charge," which often results in her making bad decisions. She's probably only one or two mistakes away from being fired.

He married Karen Hayes, who then moved to Washington, and eventually moved to Washington to join her. He was retired for a short time before being called in to serve as Head of Homeland Security when Trotter was elected. Bill Buchanan functions as a stoic center figure, sort of the grown-up in the room, the straight man for other people who certainly make it a more colorful place to watch. Prior to becoming the Special Agent in Charge at the LA CTU office, he was the Associate Special Agent in Charge at the Los Angeles Division office. Buchanan started his career as an agent with the New York Domestic Unit.

A Mexican criminal and professional kidnapper who fled Mexico for Brazil after a jail term, Rodrigo is ruthless and very skilled when it comes to his profession. He always aims to get money and get away clean, and if he has to give up the former to get the latter, he'll do so in an instant, killing the victim and disposing of the body and moving on without a second thought. He's a careful planner, and he always has at least two exits planned from wherever he is. In fact, this stems from a very real fear of jail, earned when he was a teenager in Mexican prisons for larceny and assault. He suffered greatly at the hands of his older cellmates, and never wants to go back.
