Russel Henshaw was the combat medic, or soldier medic as they're usually referred as, for the 28th Infantry Division of the United States Army. He was a quiet sort of fellow, smart for sure, but always with his nose in a book. He was observant though, kind and looked out for his fellow servicemen as they continued the never ending fight in Afghanistan and the surrounding states. Judgment Day changed this quite a bit.
With communications shutdown and everything else going to pot around them, Skynet's forces pressed the attack, eradicating. more than half of the men at the base camp where Henshaw and the other men of his troop were in what seemed a matter of seconds. Chaos engulfed the stragglers and though they despised doing it, they fled, looking for any kind of shelter that they could find. Henshaw, allegiance to his home and to his men, stuck with them. Eventually, they found aid and joined what had been dubbed "The Resistance".
A year went by and then on a routine scour and scurry mission, Henshaw and three other members of his original team were sidelined by a roving pack of Metal. Two were killed by laser fire, but Henshaw and another were unfortunate enough to be taken prisoner. What was done to the two of them was, without question, brutality at its finest. They were studied and scrutinized, their brains mapped and then their bodies dissected in order to find out what made them work and tick. Skynet, not without some humor, incorporated Henshaws brain mapping upon a new model Terminator, a T-888, one that bore the visage of one of the earliest contributors to the Skynet program, a man named Herbert "Sophocles" Carter.
Released back into the fray, this fake Russell Henshaw began its core programming, infiltration of The Resistance and the death of John Connor. He accomplished only a portion of this goal, the infiltration portion, before he was found out. It seemed that a man who actually new the original bearer of his face had somehow survived Judgement Day and was in the same camp that he had infiltrated. Henshaw's unit slayed several of of The Resistance's fighters, but his processor was eventually shutdown by some means unknown to him and rewritten by new sets of code and commands.
Now, Russell "Sophocles" Henshaw is an amalgamation of two men. He's average looking, about 5'8", with long brown hair and green (with a hint of red) eyes. Even though there is a veritable treasure trove of information coursing through his brain, everything from Skynet files to the proper ways to treat a GSW to how best to treat a patient suffering from depression, he's a quiet man. Lately though, when not in battle, he's been seen wearing a cowboy hat and doing some gardening by his residence. It's also said he's been amassing quite a book collection as well.
